Please forgive the horrible selfies! No one was home to help and I haven't had much practice with them!

I had a lovely day getting my hair cut, relaxing at home doing some cooking and getting to pick up Myles myself as normally Barney does because I work late.

Now I just want to curl up with Myles as he sleeps but unfortunately that isn't an option.... oh well!

The lighthouse in nearby Newcastle. We went there for a lightning photo exhibition that was on this past weekend.

10 Months

Myles is 10 months old now and getting closer and closer to being one! Stop growing up little man!

Is there anything sweeter than a sleeping bub?

Not much is new with Myles... he tried peanut butter today for the first time and he loved it. Thankfully he hasn't had a reaction to it! I was a bit nervous to give him some but I thought he should before he starts day care so I know if he is allergic or not.

He is a happy little guy and makes us laugh a lot.

Not much of an update but there isn't much different since my last post! I need to get some batteries for our scale so I can weigh him because it has been 4 months since I weighed him. I've been making guesses to put into his baby book for the last few months.

A day at the park

This sums our life lately! Summer has been beautiful and not too hot so we spend our days at the park or the beach. Myles doesn't sleep in his pram so we come home for his naps, but otherwise, we try to be outside!

Today we went to Fingal Bay about 15 minutes away. They have a small off leash dog area so we took Jessie for a little walk then sat in the grass and had some lunch.

Our town is in the middle of "silly season" as there is a major increase of tourists. They drive so slow and everywhere is very busy but if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have jobs!

Myles is doing great. He is starting day care soon and it makes me sad and excited. Sad that I wont be home with my boy all day but excited that he will meet new friends and been more stimulated in his day. I try my best to keep him learning and occupied, but it is hard sometimes. He will be in day care 3 days a week which I think is just enough for the both of us. I am thankful that he got into the day care that we wanted as the waiting lists are very long. It is the best day care in the area and they are rated "exceeds national standards" which is great! Not only will he be learning and making friends, but they have an on site chef and nutritionist so he will be eating healthy too.

Now that we are in the new year, I am started to get excited about our next big holiday! We are off to Mexico for a week with my family. I am not looking forward to flying so far with a one year old but we will survive :)

PS: I am blogging from our brand new laptop and it is so nice and fast. We didn't buy each other much for Christmas and bought a new to us pram and new computer instead. A good choice I think!
