My New Best Friend

We finally put some wedding money to good use and bought a dyson vacuum! Our last vacuum was about $20 and it didn't do its job at all. With shag carpet (yes we still have shag carpet!) and a dog that loses a lot of hair, we need something that would work well and last long.



We bought the last one in store which was over $200 off (yay for sales!!) and I tried it yesterday. Wow! It worked so well and I've been come a bit obsessed with vacuuming, althought Im sure it will end soon enough. Next week Im moving all the furniture and give the house a deep clean. Can't wait!

And to top it all off, today is the last day of winter!! Spring here we come!

Salads

As we head into spring we're getting back into salad season. I love having fresh salads and taking them to the local park or beach for lunch.



The other day we got cheap good quality prawns so I made a prawn and avocado salad. Prawns, avocado, iceburg, fresh cracked pepper and a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice. Yummy! Anything with prawns or avocado is usually great though! I think some green apples might have tasted good with it as well but didn't have any apples around. Maybe next time!

Pressure Washing

I pressured washed the back pavement the other day. Got covered in mud... it was even in my mouth, ears and nose. Gross. But it left me wondering....



Can I pressure wash my kitchen floors?

Oh, how I wish I could.

Yummy

One of my favorite desserts and it's so easy to make! I grew up eating it at my 'aunts' (my parents friend) house and it was always a hit. She would make it with chocolate cake as well, but I like it basic. Actually, I couldn't be bothered to bake.




It's simply chocolate pudding, whipped cream and crumbed skor bar. The pudding and skor bar I brought from Canada since nothing here compares :) It's so simple but so yummy.
