The Beast

I thought I would write a little post on the perks of driving a 8 passenger van. It is interesting to see how people think of you in relation to your vehicle. Here are some views:

-Drug Dealer (living in Surrey doesn't help that)

- Creep

-A mother with a lot of children

When I went through the Starbucks drive thru today, the guy asked me if I usually drive a car. I said yes, sometimes I drive my mom's car. I said this van was mine to drive normally though. He asked me how many people fit in and I told him 8. He then went on to ask me if I had an 8 passenger van because I had that many children. I almost started laughing out loud, but didnt want to make him feel bad. I told him I didnt have any children at all and that the van is my dads old work van, that I get the pleasure of driving. After that he seem really confused of why I would still drive this van around. It was quite funny to me. I was tempted to tell him how old I was and that if I had that many kids I would have started having them at the age of 12 and would have to have one every year since then. Goodtimes for sure....

You get a lot of weird looks from the van, but everyone now knows me and my brother Matthew by this van. My coworkers get sad if we have to go to our storage unit in the car, my classmates wondered why I didnt drive the van when my mom was in Edmonton, and people always know I have arrived when the van is parked outside. Go to love the personalites of vehicles....
