#12

In one week, I will be visiting my 12th country: Indonesia. More specifically, the province and island of Bali.

It's exciting and terrifying all at the same time. It has been 3 years since I have traveled to a developing nation and I'm sure there will be some culture shock. I honestly don't know much about the place. Some of my siblings traveled there many years ago and I remember they had a good time.

With the recent bombings (killing 2 Australians I believe) I am a bit hesitant but I know God is with me and will look out for me. It also helps that Barney is already there scouting things out and planning out our itinerary.

I was reminded today of how blessed I am that I have the opportunity to travel like I do. One of my friends here told me she has never been out of Australia. I'm sure she isn't the only one. I understand that some people don't have the desire to travel or the means to do so. I just hope that everyone who wants to will one day get the chance to step out of their own country and see a new part of the world. It's a big place and the diversity is unfathomable.

I like what you say about traveling to a place you have always lived in. And your hope for anyone who has that desire. that they may have the means to have that experience at least once.
