On Tuesday I arrived back in Australia and it feels like I never left. Walking around downtown, visiting Circular Quay, driving over the Harbour Bridge and the beautiful Opera House; it is all so familiar to me.
It was a long flight but went surprisingly quick. I had a 5 hour stop over in Japan which was probably the longest part of the trip all together. When I arrived in at the airport in Sydney, I was looking for Barney but I couldn't see him. I sat down for 15 minutes than decided to go looking for him. He was there waiting for me but we just didn't manage to see each other when I came through the gate. Oops! It was so good to see him!
We spent the day in Sydney exploring. We went to the aquarium and had lunch in Darling Harbour. We than headed to Barney's brother's place. Justin, his daughter Summer, Barney and I all went out for dinner and had a lovely time. Yesterday we headed back home but stopped in Toronto (the polar opposite of Toronto Canada)to visit Barney's aunt. We had lunch there and than she gave us a gift of a water colour painting that she did for an engagement gift.
We than (finally) arrived home and it was so good to be home. Barney had go to work right away so I walked the dog and started uppacking my bags. That was a task in itself! Only 2 things broke on my travels which was great.
Now, I am sitting in my new home, curled up in a blanket, listening to the rain crash down on the roof. It's good to be home.
