In June I was told that my visa would probably not be processed for another year but low and behold it was approved! I now have a two year visa and after two years they'll assess our situation and if they approve me again, I will get residency. Yay!
I really wasn't worried about it because we have been so thorough throughout my immigration process, but it is still a huge relief. One less thing to worry about!
We've been home for a week and it's been great. We've fallen back into our home routines and it feels good. The house is clean again, the yard no longer flooded and we're both right back to work. I had two day shifts this week which I loved. I was worried about waking up before sunrise but once I was up, it was no problem. Even better, I was off work at 1:30 so I still had the rest of the day.
And to end on a funny note, or at least funny to me. This is what happens when its cold and rainy and the dog smells really bad. Bath time in the tub for the puppy! :)
