Heat Wave

We are 5 weeks into spring down here in the southern hemisphere and we are in our first heat wave. Yesterday was around 31, 33 today and supposed to be 34 tomorrow. These temperatures are just for us on the coast. Inland is about 4-5 degrees hotter.

So we pulled out Myles' little pool and he played in it all afternoon. He loved sitting in the water, playing with his cups and running around the yard naked. He even kept his hat on all afternoon! I was shocked.

I'm sure I have said it before, but I love our veranda/yard. There is plenty of room for Myles to run and play and it is fully fenced in so I don't have to worry about Myles or Jessie getting out. The veranda is great as Myles can play in the shade too.

I snuck out at nap time to have lunch with a friend and it was beautiful. Great food and even better company. This lovely friend is so real and I love it. She says it how it is and I find it refreshing.

Tomorrow I am going to get some baking done in the morning and lay in the shade while Myles plays in his pool in the afternoon. Our house gets so hot that it ends up being cooler outside.
