Full Circle

Today was a full circle day.

Just 6 months ago we went for our 12 week ultrasound to find out our baby had passed away. I would have been 40 weeks this week.

Today, I walked into that same room where we discovered the bad news and got to see our beautiful baby's heart beating away! It was my prayer that we would be pregnant again before I would have hit the 40 week mark and I am so pleased to say we are 13 weeks pregnant with a perfect little baby.

We had our first ultrasound done at around 7 weeks and saw the heart beat. It was measuring 9 days smaller than my dates.

At 9 weeks I had some light bleeding and of course freaked out and went and had an emergency ultrasound done. Baby was great and even had a growth spurt, jumping ahead 5 days in measurements.

Our little on at 9 weeks:

It was a long, nervous wait until today. By my dates, I am 13 weeks which is what I am going by and baby is measuring 12+3 weeks. The baby kept moving around, doing flips and even had the hiccups. It was so cute to see and it is amazing how quickly they grow and develop!

13 Weeks:

It still doesn't feel real. This pregnancy has been the polar opposite to the last one and I have felt pretty good. I only had 3-4 weeks of being nauseous with no vomiting, just fatigue. I am still tired a lot but thankfully only feel sick here and there. What a blessing!

And to cap off the good news, I was lying on the couch when I got home from the ultrasound and felt the first little flutters in my belly. I didn't expect to feel it so early but it was great.

Well, that is our exciting news! God has been so faithful to me and I have learnt how to trust Him more. We are so incredibly grateful for this gift growing inside me and don't take it for granted for a minute!

I'm excited to share my pregnancy journey with you!

(This news is no on social media and won't be for another week so please don't post anything on there.. thanks!)

So Excited for you guys! I look at Ultrasounds differently these days after having a child. I stare at them and wonder who that child will become. Love you guys!
