Definitely not ready for this baby to come out!
Well, I am ready to meet our little one. I am tired, sore and am starting to struggle physically with a lot of things. At 35 weeks, I am much bigger this time around to excess amniotic fluid. On Thursday I have what will hopefully be my last ultrasound to check on my placenta placement. I am praying that I will be able to have a natural birth again this time.
With everything else, I am not ready. We still have to paint the room, move all the furniture around, take the cot apart, move it and put it back together. I have written a hospital bag list but that is as far as I got with that. I have managed to pack the baby's bag for hospital, but that was fun because I got to look through his cute clothes. All the rest of his stuff is sitting in his cot.
We finally got around to ordering our car seat on Mothers Day and it was very quickly delivered by Friday! We used our Qantas Flyer points to get it so it cost us nothing. Now, we just have to install it in the car which shouldn't take too long. This car seat clicks into our pram which will be nice to have, especially with two kids.
I am still working at the moment but have dropped down to two shifts per week. I am planning on finishing up at the end of the month which will take me to 37 weeks. I have had enough! I only worked until 34 weeks last time so I have surpassed that but I was also working full time then.
Our priority is of course the health and safety of our baby boy but I am also hoping he comes a little bit earlier than his due date. A week to 10 days would be ideal so I know his is full grown and developed. Myles was 6 days late so I am not getting my hopes up!
Off to nap now.. hopefully Myles is asleep by now too. Up until a few minutes ago he kept saying "airplane" as he could hear the fighter jets doing their training above our house. Silly boy! Next post I need to do a Myles update... he is growing and learning so fast at the moment, I want to make sure I document it!
*Myles is asleep!*
