First Few Weeks

Here we are, 4 weeks into life with our two boys!

It has been busy but enjoyable. I was housebound as I was not supposed to drive for the first 6 weeks. I lasted about 3 weeks before driving again as I was feeling good and healing well. Plus, I was going crazy being inside, as was Myles. Myles got the flu and so did I which was not fun but we are through the worst of it now thankfully and Myles is back at day care.

We tried to get out and do more as a family in the first couple weeks, mostly for Myles so he was getting the attention he deserves.

Two weeks in, we went to Oakvale Farm, our local petting zoo. My annual membership was ending a few days later so we thought we would squeeze in one more visit. Myles really enjoyed it and finally felt comfortable feeding some of the animals.

We also headed down to the marina one afternoon to have a look at the old sailboat/pirate ship that had stopped in town. We didn't go in but instead just played on the playground near by. Myles had lots of fun, especially with daddy along!

We finished the afternoon off with a treat at the coffee shop.

Myles has been pretty good with Charlie so far. He has no interest in holding him but often runs over to him to rub his head or poke his eyes. Yea.. we're working on that one!

Both the boys love being outside and Charlie is quite content to just hang out on the veranda, either having some tummy time or in his swing.

Overall, things are going really well. Charlie has been great. He eats and sleeps well. He gets up twice a night and his first stretch is usually 4-5 hours which is nice as I can get a decent chunk of sleep in. Barney also helps with feeds, usually taking the early morning one and just gets the boys up and ready for the day before he heads to work so I can get a couple more hours in. This is very appreciated and I certainly don't take it for granted.

We love our boys so much and our little family is now complete!
