Painting

Phew.... glad that weekend is over!

On Friday we emptied out our living room and the spare bedroom/babyroom and I spent the day taping all of the edges and prepped the house to be painted!

On Saturday Barney's mum came and helped us paint. We got the living room ceiling, trims and first coat of paint on the walls. We were going to stick with the original colour but realized we didn't have enough for the whole room, so we went out and got a new colour. It is slightly darker than we wanted but it is really growing on me.

BEFORE:

On Sunday Barney and I painted alone and got the second coat of the living room done, as well as all of the babyroom including ceilings and all the trims. When we first put the colour on I was a bit nervous but I have fallen in love with the room. It is bright and fresh.

He loves me :)

Jessie, our spectator. She got really nervous when we moved the furniture out as she thought we were moving and was on edge all weekend but is back to her normal self today :)

For the baby room we wanted an ocean/beach themed room and I think we have achieved it. We didn't pick our wall colour based on the baby's gender. It would have been the same whether we had a boy or girl. Our furniture is a mix of browns and whites so I think it worked out well! Now we just need our little one to arrive to make the room complete. I still have a small feeling that we may be having a girl as our scan wasn't convincing but I guess only time will tell!

AFTER:

We still have a few things to do to finish things off, like curtains, hang pictures etc but I am glad the majority of the work is done! Now that the painting is out of the way, I can start prepping meals to freeze.

Over 35 weeks now and starting to feel more real every day!
