About 3 weeks ago I went back to my doctors for the results of my 20 week morphology ultrasound. A few concerns were raised about the baby but I am praying that it all corrects itself (God fixes it!)by birth.
1. I have placenta previa which means my placenta is low, covering my cervix. I am praying it moves up as my uterus grows otherwise I will have an elective csection. Not ideal at all but I am at peace with it if it needs to happen. There are actually a lot of positives to this. It would be easier to plan childcare for Myles and schedule Barney's time off of work. I was also potentially going to have to have surgery after the baby was born to remove a 3.5cm cyst from my ovary so this could be done during my csection, preventing further surgery and trying to recover from that while taking care of a toddler and newborn.
With all that said, I would still much rather have a natural birth!
(34 weeks pregnant with Myles!)
2. Babies head is measuring a week behind it's body, which is measuring a week behind my dates. Not a huge issue but needs to be monitored. It should all level out by birth.
3. There is a hyperchoic focus (small opening) within the left ventricle of the heart. This should close before birth, if not, before he is 5 years old. Just needs to be monitored as well.
4. My blood pressure was 70/50.. very low! I was told to take it easy and get up slowly. I had it measured again this week with a pharmacist. I told him I had a coffee an hour before so he told me I would have a false high reading. My blood pressure was 113/62 which was perfect. The coffee must have helped raise it to a normal range.
At the moment I am just seeing my GP on a regular basis as well as seeing the a hospital midwife at 23 weeks and 36 weeks. I have been referred to a specialist at the hospital, but only if they think they need to see me. I haven't had a call from the hospital so they don't seem to be concerned, which is good!
I have my first midwife appointment on Tuesday so we will wait and see what she says about it all.
I feel lots of kicks all the time. I haven't had a kick in the ribs yet so I am guessing he favours being transverse like his big brother did my entire pregnancy. He is always lying on my right side and the other day, I could actually feel the whole outline of his body.
It is still incredible amazing to me that we can grow a human life inside of us!

I love that picture of you and Baby Myles. And I've been praying for you and will continue to do so. Way to have a positive attitude!
Thanks for the update Lynn. Praying for strong health for you and Matt Jnr.
